As many of you may be aware, Barbagello raceway was closed to motorcycles late last year.
This followed a report commisioned by DSR (Dept of Sport & Recreation) stating that there were areas of ‘extreme risk” at the track,
After receiving very little information from those ‘in the know’ the “WE NEED OUR TRACK BACK” facebook page and Barbagallo-Ridesmarter website were launched to help keep everyone up to date with accurate information.
Since the launch of this page and website, volunteers from MCRCWA and Trakdayz have been working in the 40 degree heat, to shift tyre walls and set up ‘conveyor belting’ in line with recomendations in the DSR report.
Barbagello raceway has been a big part of many riders lives, a place to go to learn to ride safely, as well as to compete against other racers.
A big thank you to everyone who is working hard to see the return of motorcycles to Barbagello.
